Hybrid construction
Combination of a strong and protective fabric (5.2 oz/m2; 70 Denier) on areas to be protected from friction (shoulders, outer arms, front and back hem) and a light and breathable fabric (3.8 oz/m2; 20 Denier) elsewhere.Back 0.8" longer than the front to ensure maximum protection and to cover the thermal layer 2 underneath if necessary.
Hood
Completely adjustable hood height and depth. Semi-rigid visor with integrated mesh headband to provide a high level of protection and support.The high stand-up collar effectively protects the lower face.
Pockets
2 hand pockets that remain accessible even when carrying a backpack and a YKK AquaGuard waterproof zipper.There is a mesh pocket for a mobile phone inside the right pocket to keep it safe and prevent it from falling out when you open your pocket.
Front zipper
Features a waterproof YKK AquaGuard zipper along the entire length with an inside flap providing protection from the wind. Folded underflap on the hem to facilitate fastening of the zipper.Double slider allowing opening from the bottom of the jacket.Soft fabric flap at the top of the collar to protect the chin.
Protection
Double tightening with an elastic cord and toggle at the hem.Velcro-adjustable sleeves covering the wrist.The gusset on the wrist makes it easy to wear gloves with the jacket.
Water resistance of the fabric
A fabric's resistance to water pressure is measured by the height of a column of water that can be supported by the fabric in mm (test based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the water pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. Water resistance of the jacket
The water resistance of the jacket was tested under rainfall of 450 liters of water/sqm/hour for 4 hours. This test reproduces the conditions of a thunderstorm in the mountains.
Breathability of the fabric
To find out whether a fabric is breathable, we test its evaporative resistance or RET (based on ISO 11092 standard). How to reactivate the water-repellent property?
